10 interesting facts that might surprise you about Rose Farm
Rose Farm is not just a community landmark, it also showcases some of Cheshire’s finest fresh produce and meat. With a farm shop, fabulous food served at the coffee shop, a gift shop and florist nestled within acres of glorious Cheshire countryside, Rose Farm is one of Cheshire’s best kept secrets. To help you learn more about us, we’ve put together ten interesting facts about the farm.
1.“I’ll huff and I’ll puff…”
We started selling meat from a converted dairy over 30 years ago. Our aim was still the same all the years ago: to offer quality meat that we had produced ourselves. Years later and we are still operating with the same philosophy on a much larger scale.
2. Love me tender
Our beef is hung for at least 21 days to ensure great tasting, succulent cuts of tender meat. If you ever need advice on what the right cut is for you, just ask our experienced butchers.
3. At the car wash, yeah
Did you know you can get your car washed from just £8 whilst shopping or having a coffee at Rose Farm? Simply drop your car off at the car wash valet outside the farm shop and you’ll drive away with a spanking clean car.
4. Truly gifted
Need a gift for a loved one or friend? Pop into our gift shop which offers a tasteful range of gifts and cards for treating yourself or for unusual, surprising or imaginative gifts.
5. Greenest thumbs up
We pride ourselves on sourcing, as far as possible, our wonderful fruit and vegetables from local suppliers; ensuring that the quality of our products are always second to none and reducing food mileage where possible.
6. Always in full bloom
Our in-house florist has a beautiful range of flowers and plants. Whether you’re looking for flowers for a special occasion or even planning a wedding, Ellie, our florist will pack a lovely bunch for any season and any occasion.
7. Healthy Readymeals
Don’t want the hassle of cooking? We’ve got some healthy readymade meals that we’ve prepared for you from our kitchen. From a roast dinner to cottage pies and lasagnes, our range of freshly cooked ready meals will keep your freezer fully stocked without you having to lift a finger.
8. We’ve got E-covered
We stock a wide selection of Ecover products, the world’s largest producer of ecological detergents and eco-friendly cleaning and laundry products.
- Butter than the udder
Our farm butter is known for its rich creamery taste which is testament to the fact that it’s produced predominantly from cows on a grass-fed diet; giving you delicious creamy butter.
10. Low food mileage
As well as selling produce from our own livestock, we try where possible, to support local producers. This gives you the benefit of enjoying the freshest produce and reducing food miles. Our local suppliers include Weetwood Ales, Cheshire Farm Ice Cream and Lloyds fresh farm eggs.
